The Two Houses of Israel

Scattered among the Gentiles are untold numbers of descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel who are discovering their identity and their kinship to the Jewish people. Elohim is calling them out of Babylon, and into His Kingdom.

This teaching is about your identity. I found this teaching on the internet (more information about where, below), and was astounded by the truth locked up in it. I immediately started thinking about the implications of this truth, and realised that this truth changes EVERYTHING.

Here are links to the teachings, as I first saw them:

  • First, I saw it on Youtube, by a ministry called Passion for Truth Ministries.
  • After this, I saw a similar teaching on the Psalm 119 Ministries website
  • I also found a number of blog articles on this site, which also teaches the two houses of Israel. Short and very informative.

After I saw the teachings on these sites, they literally started popping up all over the internet. They go into great detail, and are where my original power point slides comes from.

Links to the power point slides:

  • Two Houses PPT – Short and sweet, to the point – presented in about 60-70 minutes. (updated 15 Feb 2013)
  • Identity Crisis PPT – The original, before I cut out a whole bunch of stuff – this contains a LOT more information, and scripture, but would’ve taken about 3 hours to present – way too long for a night’s class.

Here is a PDF version of the two houses teaching (the shorter of the two):
Two houses: Israel – The Two Houses (PDF)

The video near the end of the teaching can be found here:

  • One God (YaHuWaH – YHWH)
  • One Mediator/Messiah (Yeshua)
  • One Body
  • One Nation
  • One Law
  • One Faith

Update history:

  • 15 Feb 2013 – Updated two houses to make use of new translation (ISR98) and changed God and Jesus for Elohim, El, Father, and Yeshua.

Contradictions in scripture, and sinning

Contradictions in scripture, and sinning

One of the things that I’ve been busy with, is writing a new “gap teaching”, bridging the gap between the two houses teaching and the Covenant (Torah) teaching. I felt that the jump was too big, and that many were lost going from one to two.

So, this is the new teaching. It’s supposed to be a quick, half hour teaching, that asks some difficult to answer questions, and handles contradictions in the Bible. Contrary to what many believe, there are no contradictions in scripture. That doesn’t mean that I can answer, or explain every contradiction. I’m not YHWH. If there is a contradiction, or something that looks like a contradiction, it must be explained. We cannot live with these things in our Bibles, as a contradiction usually means someone is lying. And in the case of scripture, its usually Father on the one side, and His perfect Word on the other side, so no matter who is lying, it ends up to be Father YHWH.

The biggest question then becomes, if Father lies about one thing, how can we trust anything else He says or promises? How can we trust in life everlasting, which is the ultimate promise, a promise of resurrection and eternal life, if He lies about other smaller things. This is the conundrum with contradictions, and thats why there cannot be any in scripture.

Watch this teaching to gain a bit more perspective on this, and other things. I aim to at some point release a video as well, where I present this teaching for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

Your Covenant – The Torah

It is time for the church to wake up to Torah obedience. This teaching will present you with some of the verses in scripture, to give you some evidence for obedience to Torah, as well as handle some of the big questions that comes to light, after hearing about the need to observe the Torah.

The Torah is commonly considered to be the first 5 books of the Bible, Genesis to Deuteronomy. The Hebrew word “Torah” is translated in scripture, as “law”, but is closer in meaning to instructions or teachings.

The Torah has nothing to do with salvation. Torah is the way that Elohim wants us to live our lives in front of Him. It’s the way of righteousness, and is actually the “instructions in righteousness” that Paul tells Timothy about.

2 Tim 3:16
All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness,

We keep Torah, as the fruit of our salvation, not the root of our salvation. The Word of Elohim is the seed (parable of the sower), the root will then be our faith, and the fruit, or the tree, will then have to be the Word of Elohim again, as that is what the seed is. Every tree that doesn’t bear good fruit, will be cut down, and cast into the fire. We have to produce good works, as evidence of our faith and our salvation. These good works, is merely obedience to Elohim’s Word, and more specifically, His Torah.

Here is a study that I put together. This is my first study that I prepared on my own, without any outside guidance, so I’d appreciate any comments you can give, with regards to structure and the flow of the presentation.

Again, please comment with anything you like. I am more than happy to present this anywhere, in front of any number of people (even to one person).

I have made two versions of this study. One in PDF, for those who want to study for themselves and one in PPT, for those who wish to use this to present to others.

The little video on slide 7 can be found here, for those who wishes to see the video alone:

I hope you enjoy this teaching, and remember to always, test everything you hear, to the Word of Elohim.
